Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Lead FP&A: annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
- Advise CFO/Executive Leadership on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and organizational priorities.
- Lead resource allocation and portfolio investment analysis across R&D, commercial, manufacturing, corporate functions, and business development.
- Represent Finance externally (investors, banks, auditors/advisors; as appropriate, Board).
- Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning for M&A, licensing, collaborations, and other corporate development.
- Build/upgrade financial models, forecasting methods, KPIs, and analytics.
- Oversee financial performance reporting (MBRs, exec reporting, variances, Board materials).
- Support capital markets activities (guidance, financing transactions, benchmarking).
- Partner cross-functionally and align with Accounting for integrated planning/reporting/execution.
- Transform Finance processes/systems/reporting/tools for scalability, efficiency, automation, and analytics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance organization (coaching, succession, talent development).
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs in finance/accounting/economics/business or related (required).
- MBA or CFA/advanced credential preferred.
- 15+ years progressive finance leadership in biotech/pharma (required).
- Enterprise FP&A for a publicly traded biotech/pharma.
- Experience partnering with executives and Boards; building models/scenarios/capital allocation frameworks.
- Business development financial diligence (licensing, M&A, collaborations, post-transaction integration).
- Strong biotech financial drivers knowledge; capital markets support preferred.
- Experience leading and scaling high-performing finance teams; FP&A system/tools optimization preferred.
- Commercial-stage, rapidly growing biotech/pharma experience strongly preferred.
