Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning & analysis: annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
- Advise CFO/Executive Leadership on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and organizational priorities.
- Lead resource allocation and portfolio investment analyses across R&D, commercial, manufacturing, corporate functions, and business development.
- Represent Finance with external stakeholders (investors, banking partners, auditors, advisors; Board as appropriate).
- Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning for M&A, licensing, collaborations, and other corporate development.
- Build/upgrade financial models, forecasting methods, KPIs, and analytical tools.
- Oversee performance reporting (monthly business reviews, executive reporting, variance analyses, Board materials).
- Support capital markets activities (financing guidance/transactions, benchmarking, etc.).
- Partner cross-functionally (R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Tech Ops, Legal, HR, IT, Accounting) and align with Accounting.
- Transform Finance processes/systems/reporting/planning tools to improve scalability, efficiency, automation, and analytics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance organization (coaching, succession planning, talent development).
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance/accounting/econ/business or related.
- MBA or CFA/advanced credential preferred.
- 15+ years progressive finance leadership in biotech/pharma.
- Experience leading enterprise planning/forecasting/budgeting/long-range planning and performance management for a publicly traded biotech/pharma.
- Experience partnering with executives and Boards.
- Experience with financial models/scenario analysis/capital allocation; business development (licensing, M&A, diligence, integration).
- Strong biotech financial drivers understanding.
- Capital markets experience preferred.
- Experience leading high-performing finance orgs; implementing FP&A systems/tools preferred.
- Prior commercial-stage, fast-growing biotech/pharma preferred.
