Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning and analysis (annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, scenario analysis, financial modeling, performance reporting).
- Advise the CFO and Executive Leadership Team on enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and organizational priorities.
- Lead resource allocation and portfolio investment analyses across R&D, commercial, manufacturing, corporate functions, and business development.
- Represent Finance with external stakeholders (investors, banking partners, auditors/advisors, and Board members when appropriate).
- Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning for M&A, licensing, collaborations, and other corporate development.
- Build integrated financial models, forecasting methods, KPIs, and analytical tools.
- Oversee performance reporting (monthly business reviews, executive reporting, variance analyses, Board materials).
- Support capital markets activities (financial guidance, financing transactions, benchmarking, etc.).
- Partner across R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Technical Operations, Legal, HR, IT, and Accounting; collaborate with Accounting to align planning/reporting.
- Transform Finance processes/systems/reporting/planning tools to improve scalability, efficiency, automation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance/accounting/economics/business administration or related.
- MBA, CFA, or other advanced credential preferred.
- 15+ years progressive finance leadership in biotech/pharma; experience in enterprise FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and performance management for a public biotech/pharma.
- Experience with executive leadership/Boards; financial models/scenario analysis/capital allocation frameworks.
- Business development financial evaluation/diligence (licensing, M&A, collaborations, integration).
- Strong biotech financial drivers knowledge (R&D, clinical economics, commercial forecasting, manufacturing, portfolio prioritization).
- Capital markets support experience preferred; finance org leadership/talent development; financial planning systems/tools/BI preferred; commercial-stage rapidly growing biotech/pharma strongly preferred.
