Key Responsibilities:
- Develop communications strategies and plans to communicate corporate and product stories to external audiences; generate awareness and positive response to company vision and objectives.
- Lead, develop, direct, and manage all external communications initiatives, including media and key constituency relations.
- Partner with executive and cross-functional teams to steward corporate brand, positioning, and messaging.
- Serve as strategic communications advisor to product and project teams.
- Direct media relations; establish and maintain relationships with healthcare, biotech business, and local media.
- Support development of high-quality communications materials (press releases, fact sheets, talking points, Q&A).
- Create and update content on the corporate website.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., legal, commercial, clinical operations, regulatory/compliance, SMEs) for key external communications.
- Support partnerships with patient advocacy groups.
- Oversee PR agencies, budgets, and program measurement.
- Support internal communications to foster morale, ensure accessibility of HR/benefit information, integrate new employees, and roll out internal initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive communications experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech.
- Experience with public pharma/biotech is required; PR agency + in-house preferred; late-stage programs and commercial launches a plus.
- Track record identifying/analyzing communications opportunities and leading external/internal communications.
- Ability to adapt to evolving market/competitive dynamics and use sound judgment.
- Extensive experience developing/executing communication strategies and tactics.
- Strong executive leadership, communication, presentation, and business partnering skills.
- Ability to influence leadership in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment; strong interpersonal skills.
- Intellectual curiosity; strong strategic and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships.
- Excellent planning/organization; ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of commercial compliance and applicable industry laws/regulations.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint.
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
