Position Summary:
VP, Controller leads the Companyโ€™s global accounting, financial reporting, controllership, internal controls, and technical accounting functions to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX.

Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting organization (general accounting, close, technical accounting, SEC reporting, inventory/COGS, internal controls, financial systems, global consolidations).
- Oversee accurate, timely consolidated financial statements and analysis of domestic/international operations.
- Lead SEC reporting; ensure filings are timely, complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Drive technical accounting research and U.S. GAAP position papers; assess business events with accounting implications.
- Monitor emerging standards and implement new pronouncements.
- Oversee foreign subsidiary accounting (consolidations, intercompany, FX, statutory reporting).
- Support strategic transactions (M&A, licensing/collaboration, financing, purchase accounting, post-acquisition integration).
- Lead Finance transformation (ERP optimization, automation, data governance, process improvement).
- Maintain/strengthen SOX compliance program and control framework.
- Manage accounting policies/procedures; serve as primary external auditor point of contact.
- Prepare materials for Audit Committee and Board; communicate complex accounting matters.
- Oversee ERP/accounting systems; improve close/reporting timelines.
- Build and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Qualifications (required):
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting/Finance or related.
- CPA; deep U.S. GAAP/SEC/SOX expertise.
- 15โ€“20 years progressive accounting/financial reporting/controllership (public biotech/pharma leadership).
- 8โ€“10 years finance leadership.

Qualifications (preferred):
- Big Four experience.
- Sarbanes-Oxley control environment experience.
- M&A/licensing/financing and complex accounting experience.
- ERP/financial reporting systems experience.
- Commercial-stage, rapidly growing biotech/pharma experience.
