Role Summary

Vice President, Commercial Operations responsible for buildout and management of commercial operations infrastructure, systems, and processes to support the launch and commercialization of gedatolisib, Celcuity’s first product, with cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics:
    • Build data infrastructure and analytics capabilities to provide regular product and market updates, trends, and insights, and meet internal/external reporting needs.
    • Vendor selection and ongoing management of data aggregator.
    • Partner with finance and commercial management to incorporate insights into planning/execution and reports (monthly/quarterly reviews and executive updates).
    • Forecast modeling for Celcuity products across indications, including updates and long-term outlook.
    • Acquire and analyze market data (claims, demand, channel inventory, payer data, competitive data).
    • Create an HCP targeting program using analytics and CRM, including segmentation to focus field force on appropriate customers.
    • Competitive price tracking and analysis.
  • Systems/Processes:
    • Acquire, design, deploy, train, and maintain a field CRM system to capture field activity, physician demand/prescribing, and market data, integrated MIRF reporting, and promo material automation.
    • Data warehouse management and dissemination to field force and sales reporting.
    • Promotional material ordering system and infrastructure (storage, distribution).
  • Sales/Commercial Operations:
    • Vendor search and RFP for key Commercial operations vendors.
    • CRM system, data warehouse, secondary data vendors, promo material distribution, LMS, meeting planning, primary market research.
    • Analyze field force size/structure (sales/medical affairs), with ongoing optimization and territory mapping.
    • Project manage primary/secondary market research for all indications, collaborating with stakeholders.
    • Speaker bureau vendor reporting.
    • Incentive compensation design and evaluation.
    • Field force expense reporting guidelines.
    • Sales activity reporting.
    • Establish field force processes, including CRM integration with expenses, vehicle reimbursement, credentialing, and field policies/procedures.
    • HCP targeting/segmentation.
    • Conference/medical symposium planning and management.
    • Fleet/vehicle reimbursement.
  • Leadership/Management:
    • Develop and implement commercial training and development, including management of dedicated FTE.
    • Build and manage commercial operations function, processes, and staff over time, including leadership, training, coaching, and development.
    • Participate in commercial leadership to establish/implement strategy and operations.
    • Collaborate across marketing, sales, commercial operations, finance, medical/clinical development, supply chain, and compliance to align planning.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to integrate business information into ongoing planning.
    • Develop and manage business operations budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • B.A./B.S. degree, ideally in science, business, or related area.
    • At least 15 years in biopharma Commercial/Business operations and related functions.
    • Experience building out commercial operations infrastructure to support product launch and commercialization through mature life cycle.
    • Experience in small/emerging biopharma as well as mature, full-scale biopharma organizations.
    • Experience procuring and analyzing third-party data to inform market understanding, monitor competition, track launches, market share, payer environment, physician targeting, and sales force effectiveness.
    • Experience with process development/project management in an emerging/growing company environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Market Access, Commercial/Business Operations, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, and Compliance.
    • Strong people management skills with a track record of building a complete commercial operations team.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross-functional initiatives with strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to partner with regulatory, legal, and compliance in all aspects of commercial operations.
  • Preferred:
    • Advanced degree (MS, RPH, Pharm D, MBA, PhD) a plus but not required.
    • Experience in breast cancer therapeutics or other solid tumor markets.
    • Experience building a commercial operations team from the ground up.
    • Experience in nimble organizations and company-first product launches.
    • “Buy and bill” experience in oncology.
