Vice President, Business Development

Role: Senior leader responsible for developing and executing business development strategies within Flagship Pioneering's ecosystem, focusing on forging partnerships with Pharma and biotech companies. Responsibilities: drive deal flow from concept to agreement, collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams, and work closely with company leadership and external stakeholders to identify value drivers, define partnership scopes, and structure transactions. Requirements: minimum 12 years of industry experience with a proven track record in strategic BD and major deal structuring, experience with biotech platforms and early-stage (Series A/B) discovery and preclinical programs, advanced degree (PhD, MD; MBA a plus), strong communication skills, and enterprise leadership experience.
