Role Summary
Vertex Spring 2026 Co-op, Operational Quality Assurance for Outsourced Manufacturing. A 6-month experiential training program for students pursuing undergraduate or advanced degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Regulatory, or related fields, focusing on manufacturing quality assurance within VertexβΓΓ΄s outsourced operations. Provides meaningful project experience, collaboration with teams, and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Creates Certificate of Analysis and Release data files within the electronic document management system (EDMS) and coordinates review with Quality representative
- Performs Archival of QA Records in EDMS (e.g., CMO batch records, data packages)
- Coordinates document approval and creates Docusign workflows, as necessary
- Conduct follow up on Action Items for team meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records
- Manages events/CAPAs in electronic quality management system (EQMS), including data entry, tracking, and follow-ups with Owners to drive completion
- Assist with quarterly updates for Continuous Improvement Projects and Risk Trackers
- Assist with generation of Metrics and reports
- Support the maintenance of a training program
- Perform inspections on materials, and components, to meet standards and specifications
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the quality processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Biomedical Engineering, Regulation, or another related field
- Works well both independently and in a team setting
- Multi-tasks to effectively manage own efforts on multiple projects, adhering to commitments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, analytical capabilities, organizational/planning and coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple activities to expected deadlines
- Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.

- You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January βΓΓ¬ June 2026
