Role Summary
The Vaccines Medical Manager, Algeria will be responsible for implementing the Medical Strategy for the specified product/therapeutic area under the guidance of the Country Medical Head and in close partnership with the Africa medical franchise head, in alignment with the overall strategy. The position will be 60% customer facing and 40% internal. Location: Algeria.
Responsibilities
- Have a deep therapy area expertise and product knowledge including competitor data.
- Utilise strong business acumen to assist the cross-functional team, acting as a key business partner to the organisation.
- Initiate and drive impactful medical projects to raise standards of care (SoC) and improve clinical practice.
- Engage with Key Decision Makers & Therapeutic Area Experts in high-value scientific activities according to the Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
- Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed information to these key stakeholders and generate valuable and actionable insights.
- Lead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs and robust data gaps analysis.
- Support investigators in Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) submissions and follow-up.
- Create industry leading digital educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative.
- Drive collaborative relationships with the Medical Franchise Head of the specified product/therapeutic area under the guidance of the Country Medical Head.
- Manage medical information to ensure efficient and effective answers to queries.
- Ensure that medical compliance for all medical activities, is followed within Sanofi, under the guidance of the Medical Head and EBI Officers at a local level.
Qualifications
- Required: Relevant experience in Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations (mandatory).
- Required: Fluency in English, spoken and written (mandatory).
- Preferred: Background in vaccinology/infectious diseases is highly appreciated.
Skills
- Good understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE) and data gaps analysis.
- Ability to act independently with a solution-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas.
- Excellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions.
- Digital ready, effective in using multiple channels and formats of scientific engagement.
Education
- MD or PharmD (mandatory).
