Role Summary
Vaccines Account Manager - Minnesota and Dakotas. Role focuses on increasing the appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines, expanding access, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with key decision-makers across healthcare organizations to improve immunization rates.
Responsibilities
- Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large integrated delivery networks and medical groups to conduct needs assessments and deliver compliant solutions that will increase access and the appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with targeted Integrated Delivery Networks, Medical Groups and Buying Groups, collaborating with the PCA contracting team and aligning to brand contracting strategy.
- Develop productive relationships with decision makers at managed care organizations and other health plans to ensure access and appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines and programs, understanding the Medicaid and Medicare landscape as it relates to Pfizer vaccines.
- Develop productive relationships with State Department of Health Immunization Program Management to understand state policies and implement tactics to maximize utilization of Pfizer Vaccines, decrease disparities, and improve immunization rates.
- Lead local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts to ensure alignment across stakeholders and maximize opportunities for Pfizer Vaccines.
- Collaborate with vaccine sales, pharmacy, institutional sales, government relations, medical, PCA, IM, Oncology, I&I Account Management and marketing teams.
- Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact using data and stakeholder maps to optimize decision making.
- Execute marketing programs across customer segments, presenting approved materials to deliver value-added messaging and developing programs with near, mid, and long-term impact.
- Drive innovation and new approaches to exceed business objectives by engaging leadership.
- Collaborate with all customer-facing teams to ensure the customer is prioritized with a one-Pfizer approach.
- Stay current with healthcare environment changes, including ACA implications, health IT, and quality metrics; educate colleagues on insights gained.
- Provide local and customer-specific insights to marketing and strategy teams for market materials.
- Cultivate relationships with KOLs and organizational decision-makers (public and private).
- Maintain active customer plans and data sets via planning resources (VALKRE) and share with business partners.
- Collaborate with local immunization panels and coalitions to promote compliance with immunization practices.
- Meet or exceed product performance objectives for the assigned portfolio of vaccines; track KPIs such as vaccine portfolio utilization, health IT/protocol development, contract closure and performance, stakeholder maps, project management, and account management skills.
- Demonstrate use of the commercial approach (PACE) and leverage resources to develop capabilities through programs and trainings.

Qualifications
- Must-Have: BS/BA Degree Required; Master’s degree preferred
- 5-10 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with a proven track record
- Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; DUI/DWI within past 7 years may disqualify
- Prior team management and/or account management experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assess account needs and bring cross-functional tools/resources to drive performance
- Strong negotiation skills; contracting experience preferred
- Strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Experience leveraging data to prioritize opportunities; prior vaccine or specialty product experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to reside within commuting distance to majority of assigned accounts
- Approximately 25-50% travel required
- Demonstrated diverse leadership experiences and ability to influence and coach others
Education
- BS/BA required; Master’s preferred
