Role Summary

Vaccines Account Manager for Minnesota and Dakotas. Drive access and appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines by leading contract negotiations, building relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating across Pfizer teams to improve immunization rates and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Form collaborative partnerships with decision-makers at large integrated delivery networks and medical groups to conduct needs assessments and deliver compliant solutions that will increase access and the appropriate use of Pfizer vaccines.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with targeted Integrated Delivery Networks, Medical Groups and Buying Groups, aligning with brand contracting strategy.
  • Develop productive relationships with decision makers at managed care organizations and other health plans to ensure access and appropriate vaccine use, understanding the commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare landscape.
  • Develop productive relationships with State Departments of Health Immunization Program Management to understand policies and maximize vaccine utilization, decrease disparities, and improve immunization rates.
  • Lead local coordination of internal colleagues at targeted accounts to align stakeholders and maximize opportunities for Pfizer vaccines.
  • Collaborate with vaccine sales, pharmacy, institutional sales, government relations, medical, PCA, IM, Oncology, I&I Account Management and marketing teams.
  • Prioritize customers, opportunities, and projects to maximize impact using data and stakeholder maps for decision making.
  • Execute marketing programs across customer segments and present approved materials to deliver value-added messaging, developing programs with near, mid, and long-term impact.
  • Drive innovation and new approaches to exceed BU objectives, engaging leadership.
  • Coordinate with all customer-facing teams to ensure a one Pfizer approach and prioritization of customers.
  • Stay current with healthcare changes, including ACA impacts on immunizations, and educate colleagues on insights.
  • Provide local and customer-specific insights to marketing and strategy teams for market-specific materials.
  • Cultivate relationships with KOLs and organizational decision makers (public and private).
  • Maintain active customer plans and data sets via planning resources and share with business partners.
  • Collaborate with local immunization panels, AAP & AAFP chapters, and coalitions to promote compliant immunization practices.
  • Meet or exceed product performance objectives for the vaccine portfolio; track KPIs such as portfolio utilization, IT protocols, contract closure, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Demonstrate use of the commercial approach (PACE) and leverage resources to develop capabilities and participate in training programs.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have: BS/BA required; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 5โ€“10 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with a proven performance track record.
  • Valid US driverโ€™s license and driving record compliant with company standards.
  • Prior team management and/or account management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess account needs and bring cross-functional tools to drive performance.
  • Advanced negotiation skills; contracting experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Proven leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and resource utilization to drive performance.
  • Experience leveraging data to prioritize opportunities; prior vaccine or specialty product experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to reside within commutable distance to majority of assigned accounts (as approved).
  • Approximately 25โ€“50% travel required.
  • Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences and the ability to influence and coach others.

Education

  • BS/BA required; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
