Vaccine Key Customer Leader - Atlanta, GA

The Vaccine Key Customer Leader (VKCL) is the primary company point of contact for strategically assigned key private and public sector customers within a designated market. The VKCL leads vaccine growth strategy for assigned ecosystem(s)/key accounts, coordinates cross-functional teams (field and HQ) to ensure clinic/health system/provider pull-through, and identifies growth opportunities and compliant solutions to competitive threats.
Core Responsibilities
- Own vaccine business performance, customer relationship, and experience; develop and execute tailored account plans with measurable objectives.
- Identify strategic customers, prioritize accounts, allocate resources, and convert customer/market knowledge into actionable commercial opportunities.
- Develop and own an account strategy that prioritizes appropriate use of company vaccines; align the account team to execute based on customer needs.
- Engage Medical Directors, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Commercial Operations, Legal/Compliance, and internal partners to deploy appropriate solutions.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of vaccination landscape (immunization schedules, quality measures, reimbursement, registry systems, school/public health requirements, uptake factors).
- Monitor competitors and market dynamics; recommend actions to grow/defend business.
- Provide peer leadership, mentoring, and coordination across reporting lines; ensure all activities comply with company policies.
Territory Coverage: State of GA (HQ: Atlanta)
Education
- Required: BA/BS
- Preferred: MA/MS/MBA in Business, Marketing, Science, Healthcare, or Public Health
Required Experience/Skills
- 5+ years in sales leadership/key account/marketing/strategy (prefer healthcare); 2+ years in sales leadership or strategic account management with high-influence public health/healthcare organizations.
- Build/develop senior customer relationships; strong interpersonal/communication skills; collaborative across reporting structures.
- Self-motivated, independent, analytical/problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; valid driverβs license; 25% travel.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- 2+ years working in/with vaccines; strong vaccination marketplace knowledge.
- Recent local market/customer knowledge; strategic/management role in public health or health system/medical group.
- Compliance knowledge for pharmaceutical/vaccine marketing/sales.
