Role Summary

As a Utilities Maintenance Supervisor, provide support site-wide for utility systems, routine and preventative maintenance and repairs for all equipment and systems. Supervise maintenance and custodial staff and coordinate maintenance contract work for building equipment and systems. Collaborate with Operations groups to create and implement policies and allocate resources to support process activities and production schedules site-wide. Oversee annual shutdown activities and provide updates and detailed reports to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Facilities related activities for GSKโ€šร„รดs pre-clinical, clinical and commercial cGMP activities.
  • Assume site-wide Facilities Maintenance responsibilities; structure the organization to maintain and repair facilities systems and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Recruit, obtain, and structure a Facilities Maintenance staff; develop in-house expertise for critical process maintenance and operations functions.
  • Prepare and implement recommendations to standardize Facilities Maintenance SOPs and related documentation.
  • Implement and maintain a state-of-the-art computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track, and document all preventative maintenance and repair activities site-wide.
  • Work with other Operations groups to create and implement policies and provide resources to support process activities and production schedules.
  • Ensure Self Inspection Universe procedures for area of responsibility are in place and in use.
  • Ensure all Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) adverse event investigations are started within 24 hours.
  • Ensure all EHS adverse event Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) are documented and completed within 5 days.
  • Own the EHS risk assessment process within the management area and ensure CAPAs are implemented on time.
  • Weekly review of Zero Accident Promotions (ZAPs), identify trends and applicable CAPAs, and discuss with the team.
  • Weekly conduct routine EHS-focused process confirmation in the area of management.
  • Monthly review of area self-inspection reports to identify recurring EHS issues and ensure effective CAPAs are implemented.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree or equivalent experience
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance management
  • Required: 5+ years of experience with a biopharmaceutical company
  • Preferred: Production experience
  • Preferred: Stationary Engineers License State of Maryland (Preferred)
  • Preferred: EPA Certified Universal Refrigerant License (Preferred)
  • Preferred: State of Maryland Board of Waterworks & Waste Systems Operators License (Preferred)
  • Preferred: State of Maryland Board of Waterworks & Waste Systems Superintendents License (Preferred)
