Regional Director, Field Medical (U.S. Central)

Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, coach, and mentor a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) in an assigned U.S. region; provide performance feedback, development planning, and field coaching
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain MSLs; ensure consistent execution of MSL engagement and compliance standards
- Translate Medical Affairs strategy into field objectives, plans, and execution aligned with company priorities
- Support disease-state education and clinical data dissemination in cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic areas
- Ensure compliant, accurate scientific messaging via field observation; support MSL participation in scientific forums
- Oversee KOL identification/profiling and high-quality compliant interactions with HCPs, thought leaders, and payers
- Serve as escalation point for complex scientific discussions
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Market Access) and communicate field insights to inform strategy
- Ensure operational excellence: compliance with SOPs/regulations, KPI monitoring, and required documentation

Qualifications
- Education: PharmD, PhD, or MD (other relevant advanced degrees considered)
- Required: 5–7+ years Medical Affairs/field scientific roles; 3–5+ years MSL experience (people management/field leadership strongly preferred)
- Skills/knowledge: leadership/coaching/performance management; deep MSL/compliance understanding; scientific communication and strategic thinking

Preferred
- Cardiovascular/renal/metabolic therapeutic experience; medical launch/pre-commercial experience; launch and translation of complex data

Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Eligible for medical, dental, vision, time off, and 401K; incentive plan participation; US salary range $240,000–$255,000

Travel/Location
- Reside within driving distance of a major international airport; ~50–70% travel; valid US driver’s license
