Translational Medicine Operations Specialist

Role Summary

We are seeking a Translational Medicine Operations Specialist to join a fast-paced, innovative team developing breakthrough therapies. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining biomarker operational plans in collaboration with translational researchers and clinical operations, supporting clinical laboratory functions within trials, and providing operational support for biomarker tracking of clinical samples.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sample tracking and logistics for clinical samples
• Collaborate with clinical operations to ensure timely sample collection and shipment from clinical sites to vendors
• Work closely with central and specialty labs to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables
• Identify, triage, and resolve biomarker sample queries to ensure sample and data integrity
• QC of study specific trackers and monitoring of patient sample testing status
• Provide input on central lab and vendor documentation to support clinical studies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with science focus
• 2-5 years’ experience in laboratory sample logistics and/or clinical trials; experience working with external CROs preferred
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work on teams and manage multiple concurrent projects under tight timelines
• Experience with SmartSheets platform preferred, but not required
