Transformation Project Engineering Lead — Strategic Capital Project
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures; deliver quality and effectiveness of key project results through sound design, early risk assessments, and fallback strategies.
- Identify, plan, and conduct medium- to large-size engineering projects with custom, risk-managed execution plans; manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Maintain project controls and reporting for cost, scope, and schedule; develop execution strategy including procurement.
- Work with marketing, product development, and manufacturing to establish scope, priorities, and schedules.
- Perform economic analysis and feasibility studies for complex and competing project alternatives; achieve project financial targets.
- Analyze market business forces and recommend responses; execute or direct design of products/processes/equipment/systems/facilities using novel engineering theories.
- Design and lead complex experiments; conceptualize solutions and integrate regulatory and operational needs.
- Apply technology innovatively; mentor others and share solutions across sites.
- Provide employee development opportunities; serve as prime technical contact on contracts/projects.
- Act as trusted advisor/Subject Matter Expert; interact with senior management and external personnel; submit articles for publication; may influence validation strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent; desired 8+ years significant engineering and/or operational experience; post-graduate education desired.
- Demonstrated competency in discipline; strong technical knowledge; judgment to advise management on complex, multi-factor problems.
- Collaboration and communication skills; ability to negotiate and reconcile differences.
- Preferred: technical background in healthcare, medical devices, pharma, biologics, or similar; demonstrated competency with financial systems and fiscal control.
