Associate Director, Data Science & AI Solutions
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and lead lifecycle of next-generation AI/data science solutions (ML, simulations, optimizations, custom generative AI such as RAG and agentic workflows).
- Build, deploy, and maintain advanced AI applications and operational analytics systems; monitor, enhance, and scale analytics platforms (e.g., Dataiku, Posit Workbench).
- Collaborate with GxP AI Governance Program to create frameworks for regulatory compliance, validation playbooks, and monitoring.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI/data science opportunities and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Mentor/upskill QA team members on modern tech stacks, LLMs, and data literacy; represent the organization in cross-functional forums.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA and 5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or technology-related industry.
- 5+ years using Python, R, and advanced SQL to design/deploy ML/forecasting/optimization models.
- Hands-on custom RAG architectures, LLM API experience, and core MLOps (Git/version control, monitoring, model maintenance).
- Dashboards (Power BI or Spotfire) and foundational ETL/data structure knowledge.
- Cloud deployment familiarity (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Regulated GxP experience with exposure to software validation or AI governance.
- Strong communication and experience supporting global cross-functional teams.
