Role Summary
Training and Development Manager
Responsibilities
Coordinate Finance Performance and Career Development programs to ensure alignment with corporate talent and career development strategies.
Align activities across programs to advance talent and career development within Finance.
Coordinate meetings and calendars for all program initiatives.
Manage logistics for training courses, including scheduling, materials coordination, roster management, staff communication, LMS administration, and metrics tracking. Assist with planning and executing surveys and staff feedback.
Support mentoring program logistics, including materials and special events. Review mentoring assignments with Finance leadership and HR, ensuring alignment with corporate mentoring activities.
Support career engagement activities by managing and coordinating event calendars and communications.
Coordinate recruiting efforts with the HR team, ensuring Finance resources align with recruiting needs and school outreach. Lead summer intern activities and hiring processes.
Support ACC talent development initiative events, including calendar and communication coordination.
Maintain and update Performance and Career Development SharePoint sites and calendars; create online content to support related programs.
Perform other project duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related professional experience in Finance, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, or Life Sciences OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience in Finance, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, or Life Sciences OR Associate degree and 10 years of related professional experience in Finance, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, or Life Sciences OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of related professional experience in Finance, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, or Life Sciences
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 2 or more years project management-related experience; demonstrated time management, decision making, and organization skills; ability to work across teams and levels of management, communicate vertically and horizontally through multiple channels; established history of excellent performance; self-starter with strong project management skills; strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to effectively and confidentially interact with Amgen senior management; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; strong SharePoint skills – both site design and site administration; demonstrated ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with multiple functional areas; good critical thinking skills
