Title: Training & Development Manager

Responsibilities:
- Support and provide learning methodologies and performance consulting to analyze performance issues using the ADDIE model.
- Partner with Amgen Ohio (AOH) teams to apply human performance technology and develop training and performance strategies supporting compliant and continuously improving (CI) operations.
- Support managers with training requirements identification, design, development, and maintenance of training materials and monitoring/control tools.
- Lead new hire onboarding for AOH (FTEs and EWs/CWs) in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
- Partner with managers to apply human performance theory and analytical skills to identify solutions aligned to business needs.
- Apply instructional design and adult learning methodologies to design and develop solutions in multiple delivery formats.
- Manage curricula and assignments; ensure training materials are integrated with the Learning Management System (LMS) per business processes.
- Gather and evaluate metrics to ensure effectiveness of performance solutions and training materials.
- Serve as the first point of contact for performance and training questions.
- Participate in global training forums; represent AOH in global program governance and prioritization.
- Write/modify instructional materials, leaders’ guides, and on-the-job training; develop and conduct Train-the-Trainer classes.
- Work with audit response teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
- Provide proactive strategic planning for future performance needs and global curricula projects.
- Ensure training content is current and meets compliance standards.
- Travel up to 10%.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree; or Master’s degree + 2 years related experience; or Bachelor’s degree + 4 years; or Associate’s degree + 8 years; or High school diploma/GED + 10 years (Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology, Life Sciences, or Training).

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years performance consultant/ instructional designer/ curriculum developer.
- Project management, budget management, LMS business process experience (e.g., SumTotal).
- Adult learning + instructional design + curriculum development knowledge.
- Performance consulting/needs analysis.
- ADDIE (or other) methodology; effective written/verbal communication.
- Regulated environment understanding (e.g., FDA/OSHA), cross-level organizational collaboration.
- E-learning design (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Smartsheet/Excel.
- Experience with AR/VR and generative AI.
