Role Summary

Thought Leader Liaison - TAVNEOS - Northeast (Rare Disease). Maintain and build relationships with external Opinion Leaders and large medical centers involved in vasculitis, and the broader Rheumatology and Nephrology provider landscape. Coordinate with brand, sales, marketing, and medical affairs to drive external engagement strategies and key initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • OL / Strategic Customer Development and Management: identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with regional Opinion Leaders; support engagement of key customers; manage OL speaker bureau relationships and regional speaker bureau; map and manage relationships with Vasculitis Centers and large facilities; coordinate one-to-one exchanges between brand team and KOLs.
  • Congress / Key Event Management: attend and manage brand activity at regional/national inflammation conferences; manage regional sponsorship budgets and congress plans; coordinate executive meetings with OLs; manage contract requirements; coordinate with marketing for materials.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and medical affairs: drive external engagement strategies across cross-functional teams; align with sales on OL engagement plans; provide customer/market insights to marketing; partner with HCP Marketing on advisory boards and content; share insights from congresses with marketing.
  • Drive key initiatives: lead peer-to-peer marketing initiatives; shape team content development needs including disease state; participate in strategic brand team discussions.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Doctorate degree and 2 years of marketing or sales experience
    • Or Master's degree and 4 years of marketing or sales experience
    • Or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of marketing or sales experience
    • Or Associates degree and 10 years of marketing or sales experience
    • Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing or sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 5-10 years of experience in Rheumatology, Nephrology, Rare Disease in customer facing roles
    • Experience developing and executing HCP key customer strategies
    • Proven ability to develop and execute KOL mapping and advocacy in relevant spaces
    • Prior experience in thought leader engagement, regional marketing, sales, medical affairs, or sales leadership
    • Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge in complex disease states
    • Existing relationships with key customers and strong relationship-building skills
    • Ability to build productive partnerships in a matrix organization; strong decision-making and ethical standards
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence
    • Ability to address problems in an organized, systematic way; high organizational awareness
    • Exceptional critical thinking to identify educational gaps and recommend next steps; knowledge of pharmaceutical promotions regulatory environment

Education

  • Doctorate, Masterโ€™s, Bachelorโ€™s, Associates, or High School diploma with corresponding years of marketing or sales experience as specified in Basic Qualifications

Additional Requirements

  • Business travel regularly required (50%โ€“65%)
  • Willingness to work evenings and select weekends
  • Located near a hub airport recommended
  • Coverage: Northeast Region (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut)
