Role Summary
The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a strategic, field-based marketer responsible for engaging key opinion leaders to generate insights, influence portfolio and brand strategy, and foster advocacy for Teva’s CNS portfolio. The role focuses on Conference Coordination, Speaker Bureau Planning, Insight Generation & Brand Strategy Influence, and KOL Engagement & Development. The TLL serves as the primary contact for KOLs, maintaining compliant, collaborative relationships to advance Teva’s leadership in CNS.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of national and regional conferences, including KOL engagement scheduling, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Represent Teva at major congresses, securing KOL meetings and capturing actionable insights for portfolio teams.
- Partner with medical teams and sales leadership to optimize KOL engagement opportunities during congresses.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership on portfolio-level planning including national & regional programs, speaker engagement, including identification and speaker preparation.
- Monitor speaker utilization and program metrics; contribute to annual nomination process and ensure compliance with all guidelines.
- Work across marketing and sales leadership on Speaker Bureau selection and identification of new speakers.
- Support execution of peer-to-peer education programs aligned with portfolio objectives.
- Lead organizational speaker engagements to enhance clinical acumen and communication skills of speakers.
- Capture and synthesize KOL insights monthly to inform portfolio marketing strategies and tactical plans.
- Maintain and update TLL Engagement Plans quarterly; conduct strategic reviews with regional teams to ensure alignment with brand priorities.
- Provide real-time feedback on key business questions, including launch plan insights, market intelligence, and emerging trends.
- Identify and cultivate emerging voices to shape insights and align with Teva innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional KOLs, fostering advocacy for Teva’s CNS brands.
- Engage in-person with each KOL target quarterly; identify new and emerging KOLs to expand the network.
- Act as a trusted resource for KOLs, connecting them with relevant internal teams while ensuring compliance and integrity.
- Collaborate with marketing to integrate thought leader insights into brand strategy for launch readiness.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (required) and Master’s degree preferred; 5 years pharmaceutical industry experience required, including at least 2 years in a thought leader engagement role or HCP/medical education marketing (neurology/psychiatry strongly preferred).
Skills
- Broad domain expertise with strong knowledge of the CNS therapeutic area (strongly preferred).
- Strong scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Ability to lead and influence without authority and work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- High level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to ethical conduct.
- Strong project management experience and the ability to coordinate projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors on time.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years pharmaceutical industry experience required, including at least 2 years in a thought leader engagement role or HCP/medical education marketing (neurology/psychiatry strongly preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 60-80% domestic travel throughout the US, some weekends included. Location near a major airport and ability to travel regularly across the assigned area and to attend meetings at Teva offices and off-site locations; periodic international travel as required. Territory includes Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.
- Location Flexibility: Open to candidates residing anywhere in the U.S. who live near a major airport and are willing to travel frequently.
- Physical Requirements: Sitting for extended periods; occasional PPE on site visits as needed.
