Position Summary
The Therapeutic Sales Specialist (TS) maximizes product sales by communicating the value proposition of the Endocrinology portfolio to relevant stakeholders within an assigned territory.
Essential Responsibilities / Job Functions
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan for a wide geographical area; target, penetrate, and build relationships with key decision makers.
- Call on physicians, nurses, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, etc., across multiple medical subspecialties (e.g., office, hospital pharmacy, OR, ICU).
- Communicate clear messages in complex clinical situations.
- Manage hybrid engagement (70%+ in-person; virtual as needed).
- Use data sources to maximize strategies and ROI.
- Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit goals.
- Manage and track territory information through a CRM system.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree.
- At least 8 years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Healthcare Industry sales experience.
- Ability to work independently; manage key accounts.
- Demonstrated sales growth; documented history of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
- Business acumen and strong ability to understand and communicate difficult clinical information.
- Excellent organization, time management, oral/written communication.
- Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred
- Endocrinology experience.
- Hospital sales experience (P&T/Formulary process).
- Knowledge of local/regional health systems.
