Role Summary
Therapeutic Specialist within Gilead's HIV Treatment, responsible for representing Gilead's products to a defined customer base, achieving sales targets, and managing accounts within a geographic area. Role emphasizes comprehensive account management, in-person engagement with healthcare practices, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Establish strong working relationships with healthcare providers; deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education on healthcare changes.
- Distill complex clinical concepts into easily understood messages tailored to diverse audiences; demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals; monitor progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, educational grants, speaker events, and external expenditures.
- Collaborate with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and external partners as needed.
- Identify and resolve issues and opportunities; communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Commit to ongoing Inclusion & Diversity efforts; report adverse events per guidelines; perform administrative duties (call reporting, expenses).
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and company values (Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Integrity); demonstrate advanced influence and relationship-building for sales outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Gilead and competitor products; promote appropriate use in line with guidelines; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: High School with 9 years of experience; or Associates Degree with 7 years; or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years; or Master's Degree with 3 years.
- Travel ability to cover assigned area and related requirements; compliance with onsite visitation requirements where applicable; valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA or BS degree.
- Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in highly competitive markets; proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets.
- Previous product launch experience in a competitive environment.
Education
- Bachelorโs Degree or higher preferred (as part of Preferred Qualifications).
