Role Summary

Therapeutic Specialist is a field-based role located in or around Dayton, Ohio. The role requires a high level of clinical aptitude and experience in a portfolio selling environment to engage key customers, execute promotional activity, analyze business drivers, build cross-functional partnerships, and ensure execution of the territory business plan. The incumbent should embody the company values and act as a cultural ambassador.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute a sales plan with specific goals to maximize sales growth in the current rare disease market.
  • Maintain exceptional knowledge of disease state, product, customer, orphan/rare and specialty drug market, competitive landscape, and broader healthcare market.
  • Demonstrate high performance driven by values of trust, respect, and commitment to compliance.
  • Foster ownership and accountability; establish open and honest communication with peers and leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Market Access, Patient Support) to achieve shared objectives in a compliant manner.
  • Identify and establish relationships with emerging thought leaders and customers; engage with HCPs with appropriate time and resources.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Insmed products, disease states, customer base (HCP), business strategy, and market access issues/trends.
  • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and policies; maintain high ethical and performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of biotech/pharma product promotion.
  • Required: Experience successfully launching biotech/pharma products with a track record of exceeding goals.
  • Preferred: Portfolio selling experience.
  • Preferred: Specialty disease experience and/or rare-orphan experience.
  • Preferred: Strong business partnerships in the Pulmonary and/or Infectious Disease community.
  • Preferred: Experience working compliantly in patient support models.
  • Required: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and integrate into strategic planning.
  • Required: Demonstrated business acumen and accountability in exceeding territory results.
  • Required: Customer relationships, interpersonal and communication skills with diverse audiences and cross-functional influence.
  • Required: High learning agility and scientific acumen; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM).
