Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases, focusing on account development, clinical engagement, and strategic partnership within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory plans aligned with regional priorities, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, and advancing disease awareness and treatment pathways. The TAM develops deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, diagnostic processes, mechanisms of action, and product profiles, communicating complex information effectively to healthcare providers. They influence clinical decision-making and patient management by uncovering unmet needs and reframing patient journeys, while collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other teams to optimize account strategies and insights. The role requires a minimum of 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, with a strong preference for candidates with rare disease, hepatology, gastroenterology, or pediatric specialty backgrounds. Candidates must possess excellent clinical aptitude, account-based selling skills, and the ability to interpret performance data. High emotional intelligence, resilience, self-motivation, and ethical conduct are essential. The position involves up to 70% travel, including overnight stays, and demands a proactive, entrepreneurial approach in a fast-evolving environment focused on rare diseases.
