Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases by developing deep clinical and account expertise, executing targeted account plans, and fostering relationships with healthcare professionals across hepatology and gastroenterology. Responsibilities: develop and implement territory strategies, identify high-opportunity accounts and referral networks, provide clinical insights on rare liver diseases, influence healthcare providers' treatment decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other teams. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of disease pathways, clinical data, product profiles, and reimbursement landscape; communicate complex scientific information credibly; and support patient-centric care. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred), 5+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech sales, with proven success in complex or rare disease markets; experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or pediatric specialties highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to use insight-led or challenger sales techniques, interpret performance data, and build trust with sophisticated healthcare professionals. Skills: strong clinical aptitude, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, high emotional intelligence, self-motivation, resilience, and cross-functional collaboration. High-Value: rare cholestatic liver diseases, hepatology/gastroenterology focus, account-based selling, patient journey understanding, up to 70% travel, primarily field-based.
