Responsibilities include territory planning, identifying high-opportunity accounts, engaging clinicians as a credible peer, influencing clinical decision-making, and advancing awareness and treatment pathways. The TAM collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other teams to optimize customer experience and access. They also capture field insights to inform strategy and initiatives, and operate with high ownership and resilience in a complex, evolving rare disease environment. Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, with a strong preference for rare disease, hepatology, gastroenterology, or pediatric specialty backgrounds. Demonstrated success in complex, high-science markets, account-based selling, and knowledge of access/reimbursement is essential. The role demands excellent clinical aptitude, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work independently with up to 70% travel, including overnight stays. High-value specifics include focus on rare liver diseases, complex specialty care, and a need for deep scientific understanding and strategic influence within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
