Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) drives business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases by developing deep clinical and account expertise, executing strategic account plans, and fostering relationships across complex healthcare networks. Responsibilities include territory planning aligned with regional priorities, identifying high-opportunity accounts, advancing disease awareness, and influencing clinical decision-making through insight-led engagement. The TAM collaborates extensively with cross-functional teams—including Medical Affairs, Access, and Marketing—to optimize customer experience, access pathways, and referral networks, while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes. They maintain robust knowledge of disease pathways, clinical data, and product profiles, communicating complex information credibly and tailoring interactions to healthcare professionals' needs. Key skills encompass strong clinical aptitude, insight-driven selling, relationship building, and strategic planning, supported by 5+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech sales, preferably in rare diseases, hepatology, or gastroenterology. The role demands high emotional intelligence, resilience, entrepreneurial drive, and adherence to compliance standards. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred), proven success in complex specialty markets, and up to 70% travel, including overnight stays. The position emphasizes ethical conduct, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous learning, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through expert engagement and strategic influence.
