Role: Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) focused on rare cholestatic liver diseases, responsible for driving customer engagement, disease awareness, and treatment adoption within assigned territories. Responsibilities include developing strategic account plans, identifying high-opportunity healthcare providers, building trusted relationships, and influencing clinical decision-making. The TAM develops deep clinical knowledge of relevant liver diseases, diagnostic pathways, mechanisms of action, and access/reimbursement landscapes, communicating complex information credibly and tailoring engagements to healthcare professionals' needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services is essential for optimizing customer experience and advancing patient care. The role emphasizes insight-led and peer-to-peer engagement, with an emphasis on influencing multiple stakeholders and overcoming clinical inertia. The TAM maintains comprehensive account and territory data, tracks performance, and adjusts strategies proactively. High-value specifics include experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or pediatric specialty care, with a strong clinical aptitude and ability to interpret complex clinical and market data. The position requires a bachelorβs degree, 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, and up to 70% travel, including overnight stays. A proven track record in complex specialty or rare disease markets, account-based selling, and cross-functional collaboration is highly preferred. The role demands high emotional intelligence, resilience, entrepreneurial drive, and adherence to ethical standards, operating in a fast-paced, evolving rare disease landscape.
