Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving business performance and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases, focusing on the Liver portfolio. Responsibilities: develop and execute territory plans, build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals across complex accounts, and promote disease awareness, diagnosis, treatment initiation, and persistence. The TAM must develop deep clinical knowledge of rare liver disorders, diagnostic pathways, and product profiles, communicating complex information effectively to influence healthcare decision-making. They collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other teams to align strategies, gather insights, and enhance customer experience. The role emphasizes strategic account management, stakeholder mapping, and influencing clinical practice without direct authority. It requires high emotional intelligence, resilience, entrepreneurial drive, and ownership, particularly in a rapidly evolving rare disease environment. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, with a preference for those experienced in rare diseases, hepatology, or gastroenterology. Proven success in account-based selling, understanding of access/reimbursement pathways, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. The position involves up to 70% travel, including overnight trips, with a focus on ethical conduct, compliance, and continuous learning.
