Role: Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) responsible for driving business growth and patient impact in rare cholestatic liver diseases. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory plans, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, managing key accounts and referral networks, and advancing disease awareness and treatment initiation. The TAM integrates clinical knowledge of rare liver conditions, diagnostic pathways, and product profiles to engage clinicians effectively, influence clinical decision-making, and support patient care journeys. Collaborating across Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other functions, the TAM captures market insights and aligns strategies to optimize account engagement. The role demands expertise in hepatology, gastroenterology, or pediatric specialty markets, with at least 5 years in a complex pharma or biotech sales environment, ideally in rare or high-science therapeutic areas. Strong clinical aptitude, account-based selling skills, and understanding of access/reimbursement dynamics are essential. Candidates must demonstrate high emotional intelligence, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to travel up to 70% consistently. A bachelor’s degree is required, with advanced degrees preferred, and experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or rare diseases highly desirable.
