Role: Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) focusing on rare cholestatic liver diseases, responsible for driving business performance, disease awareness, and patient engagement within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing strategic account plans, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals across hepatology and gastroenterology, and executing targeted customer engagement to influence clinical decision-making and treatment persistence. The TAM identifies high-opportunity accounts, navigates complex referral networks, and collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other teams to optimize patient care pathways. They develop deep clinical knowledge of rare liver diseases, mechanisms, and therapies, communicating complex scientific information credibly and tailoring discussions to diverse healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes high emotional intelligence, strategic insight, and resilience to challenge clinical inertia and influence multiple stakeholders. The TAM ensures compliant promotion, supports patient access strategies, and captures field insights to inform broader organizational initiatives. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of progressive pharma/biotech sales experience—preferably in rare diseases, hepatology, or complex specialty markets—and demonstrated success in account-based selling, clinical dialogue, and influencing healthcare teams. Candidates should possess strong clinical aptitude, business acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to travel up to 70%. The position offers a hybrid or remote work setup, with frequent travel requirements.
