Role: The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for driving business performance and patient impact within a designated territory, focusing on rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver portfolio. Responsibilities include developing strategic account plans, building deep clinical relationships, and executing targeted engagement to increase disease awareness, patient identification, and treatment adherence. The TAM acts as a credible clinical partner, influencing healthcare professionals through insight-led discussions, addressing unmet needs across complex accounts, and collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other teams. Core duties also encompass territory strategy development, account prioritization, and leveraging market insights to optimize resource deployment and customer engagement. The role emphasizes understanding diagnostic pathways, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and reimbursement landscapes, with an emphasis on complex specialty care in hepatology and gastroenterology. The TAM must demonstrate high emotional intelligence, resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, rapidly evolving rare disease environment. Qualifications include a bachelorβs degree (advanced degree preferred), 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in rare diseases or complex specialties, with proven success in account-based and insight-driven selling. The role requires up to 70% travel, frequent overnight stays, and adherence to compliance and ethical standards.
