Role Summary

The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for the on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted customers within the posted geographic area. They will execute the implementation of Esperion sales processes within the local geography in accordance with approved resources while operating in a compliant manner. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Territory: Fresno, CA

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
  • Review performance metrics with RSM to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
  • Promote and educate Health Care Providers on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, speaker programs, and other approved programs
  • Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize appropriate use of Esperion products
  • Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources
  • Maintain knowledge of product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives for the territory
  • Attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely (sample inventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties)
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, complete compliance training, and demonstrate company values
  • Follow expense report guidelines and adhere to territory budget
  • Establish and maintain effective communications among RSMs and TMs; monitor performance to achieve Territory potential
  • Monitor and align Sales and Marketing efforts to execute business initiatives
  • Work with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers
  • Maintain vendor credentialing requirements to access customer locations
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; preferred sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM) and 1โ€“3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience, or equivalent
  • Military background or similar experience accepted
  • Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional meetings
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record
  • Documented track record of high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or similar
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment or entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility for product promotion within a large territory
  • Comfort with a performance-driven and growth culture

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and work with varied audiences including customers, colleagues, and scientific/technical leaders
  • Strong interpersonal and selling skills
