Role Summary
The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted customers within the posted geographic area. As a member of the field sales force, the Territory Manager is responsible for all aspects of personal promotion within their assigned geography and will implement Esperion sales processes in accordance with approved resources while maintaining compliance. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Territory: Florence, SC. Travel up to 30% may be required for territory business and meetings.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
- Review performance metrics with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure the territory achieves maximum sales results
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
- Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, speaker programs, and other approved programs
- Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of Esperion products
- Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge of product payor coverage to support market access objectives for the territory
- Periodically attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely (sample inventory, call reporting, expense management, mileage logging, and related duties)
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, complete required compliance training, and model company values
- Follow expense report guidelines and adhere to the territory budget
- Maintain effective communications among Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers; monitor performance to maximize territory potential
- Align Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives
- Work with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers
- Maintain vendor credentialing requirements for access to customer locations (e.g., VendorMate, RepTrax)

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree; 1–3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience or equivalent education and experience
- Preferred: Degree in sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM)
- Required: Willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays
- Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Required: Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales or similar endeavors
- Preferred: Experience calling on Healthcare Professionals
- Preferred: Experience operating in a start-up or entrepreneurial sales model with territory responsibility
