Role Summary
The Technology Platform Manager, Marketing Automation (TPM) leads global Marketing Automation initiatives within the Johnson & Johnson Vision Business Technology team, supporting the Global Vision business. The role oversees the Marketing Automation platform (currently Salesforce Marketing Cloud), guiding global and regional marketing, digital squads, and occasionally sales and customer service. It involves developing a cohesive technical roadmap, managing licenses and finances, and delivering measurable outcomes, including a migration program from Salesforce Marketing Cloud to Microsoft Dynamics Marketing Automation.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Butterfly Program around Marketing Automation (migration from Salesforce to MS Dynamics) for Vision globally.
- Set a clear vision for the Marketing Automation Platform and manage multi-generation platform strategy to meet business objectives.
- Maximize ROI by prioritizing platform/product features by business value.
- Shape the roadmap and provide guidance on best practices for Marketing Automation while defining global standards.
- Educate Business and IT leaders on achievable possibilities.
- Establish and nurture relationships within and across regional and global teams.
- Partner with Business Product Owner and commercial leaders to define and lead business product strategy, roadmaps, business cases and outcomes (OKRs, KPIs).
- Translate business strategy to technology solutions and communicate the strategy and vision effectively across the organization.
- Ensure accountability for solutions and related measures, metrics, and dashboards.
- Conduct experiments to test real-world success of proposed solutions.
- Estimate development effort to prioritize requirements and align IT capacity with top business priorities.
- Lead teams and deliver projects aligned to the platformโs vision and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and enterprise architects to design scalable, flexible, and supportable systems.
- Manage licenses, financials and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree required.
- 5+ years of experience leading Marketing Automation platform programs/projects and strategic initiatives around Salesforce or another Marketing Automation platform.
- Knowledgeable experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or MS Dynamics Marketing Automation platform.
- Experience supporting digital email, push and/or SMS campaign mailing & journeys.
- Understanding of basic integration capabilities between front-end, APIs, back-end systems and CRMs.
- Experience supporting global web and/or digital marketing campaign rollouts.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Management model and documentation.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Project Management leadership experience delivering multiple projects of varying sizes.
- Knowledge of Rapid Requirements Development Methodology or equivalent Business Analysis Methodologies.
- Current knowledge of industry and business process trends and ability to apply knowledge to existing processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and development methodologies.
- Aptitude for various commercial IT technologies in marketing and CRM solutions.
- Experience in Healthcare, FMCG, and/or medical technology industries is a plus.
- Experience working with agencies and technology providers.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and networking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented capabilities; ability to work with virtual, multi-cultural, global teams.

- Proven ability to work across geographies and cultures.
- Experience with Pardot and/or similar B2B CRM solutions preferred.
- Marketing Cloud Certification(s) and other SFDC Certifications preferred.
