Technician, Operations (O2) — 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (100% on-site, Rahway, NJ)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble sterile equipment using drawings; operate/maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment (parts washers, dry heat ovens, autoclaves).
- Receive, inspect, and store sterile supplies; manage inventory.
- Prepare sterile products per protocols/batch records (closed formulation; open aseptic inside a Grade A isolator); support sterile processing in Grade C.
- Perform manual visual inspection of filled units (vials/syringes) to identify defects.
- Maintain detailed GMP records (ingredient quantities, equipment, environmental conditions) in electronic systems (PAS-X preferred).
- Follow GMP/SOPs; identify/escalate deviations; support investigations and CAPA.
- Adapt to batch/production schedule changes; participate in continuous improvement; train staff.
- Work in cleanroom gowning/aseptic behaviors (Grade C) and perform basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
Required:
- 2+ years relevant GMP pharmaceutical experience.
- Strong written/verbal communication; computer proficiency (MS Office; equipment HMI; SAP; maintenance/calibration systems).
- Good eyesight; ability to lift 50 lbs and perform cleanroom gowning (incl. respirators); flexibility with overtime.
Preferred:
- 2+ years GMP manufacturing/processing; GDP familiarity.
- Experience with isolators/containment, aseptic filling, visual inspection, SAP/ERP; automated systems (MES/SAP); Associates in science; BioWork certificate; troubleshooting skills.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary range: $52,500–$82,700; annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable); medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick/compassionate days.
