QC Sample Management Technician responsibilities:
- Handle QC test samples throughout the sample lifecycle: receipt, storage, distribution, transfer, and disposal; facilitate cold chain transfers.
- Ensure samples and materials are appropriately labeled; maintain sample tracking, labeling, and chain of custody records per regulatory requirements and written procedures.
- Maintain inventory and distribute QC samples/materials to functional groups as scheduled or requested.
- Record performance metrics for the sample management group.
- Support identification and implementation of process efficiencies.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs.

Work schedule/working conditions:
- 6PM–6AM, 12-hour rotating shift (36/48 hours over a 2-week period), working every other weekend, scheduled holidays, and during adverse weather; short-notice overtime may be required.
- May work around biohazardous materials and may be exposed to fluctuating/extreme temperatures.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related science; or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience (preferably regulated environment).

Preferred skills/experience:
- Cold chain sample storage and transfer in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Basic electronic systems knowledge (email, MS Office).
- LIMS and ELN experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for GMP laboratories.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage changing priorities/deadlines; teamwork and communication.

Physical requirements:
- Light to moderate lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs.

Compensation (Devens, MA, US): $27.35–$33.14 per hour.
