Role: Technical Platform Analyst supporting and evolving digital services (microservices) and an enterprise design system to help teams deliver consistent, high-quality experiences at speed.
Role Summary
- Support ongoing operation and evolution of:
- Digital platform services (APIs, microservices, shared platform capabilities)
- Enterprise design system (shared components, templates, patterns)
- Partner with engineering squads, UX/design, product owners, and platform teams; focus on execution, coordination, and enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform & Design System Enablement
- Support shared digital services and platform capabilities used across multiple digital products.
- Define, build, and maintain reusable components and templates spanning both the design system and platform services.
- Ensure alignment between design system components and underlying technical implementations.
- Represent shared services components in the governance council.
- Backlog & User Story Management
- Draft user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for platform services and design system enhancements.
- Maintain/refine platform and design system backlogs for clear priorities and delivery readiness.
- Coordinate backlog refinement with engineering and design to support sprint and release planning.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Delivery Support
- Partner day-to-day with product, design, and engineering to clarify requirements and unblock delivery.
- Support release planning and align with brand/product launch schedules.
- Document usage patterns and best practices to help teams adopt shared capabilities and assets.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and reuse.
- Assist with automation/modern development practices (e.g., CI/CD alignment, component reuse, tooling improvements).
- Contribute to documentation and onboarding materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based services.
- Experience with design systems, component libraries, or shared UI frameworks.
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working in Agile teams.
- Strong collaboration/communication; can translate between technical and design stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a platform, shared services, or enablement team.
- Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, or UI component frameworks.
- Experience with React, NextJS (or equivalent), NodeJS, NestJS, or Rust.
- Exposure to enterprise or regulated environments.
- Interest in improving developer/designer experience via tooling, documentation, and reuse.
- Agile (Scrum) or equivalent.
