Your Role: The Technical Consultant works with customers to position Elanco as the partner of choice through technical expertise, product solutions, scientifically sound research studies, and value beyond product (consulting, analytics, diagnostics, and market access support).

Responsibilities:
- Sales and Marketing Support: Work with customers/account teams; identify and position opportunities for Elanco products; participate in account planning and value strategy; develop/training events and materials; support new product launches; implement value strategy at customer level.
- Customer and Technical Leadership: Train/coach Elanco personnel; build relationships and influence customers/consultants/academics; identify avenues to deliver value beyond product; influence key industry organizations.
- Research and Innovation: Conduct research using approved Elanco products; align research with business needs/lifecycle planning; publish in scientific meetings and peer-reviewed journals; support R&D requests and product line extensions.
- Business Leadership: Communicate across technical/account teams; identify opportunities/threats; influence long-range strategy and product positioning; identify external talent.

Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in Dairy Nutrition and Physiology.
- 3–5 years dairy industry experience.
- Understanding of dairy operations; credibility to influence dairy consultants.
- Technical consultancy expertise addressing customer needs/concerns.
- Demonstrated success as a dairy nutritional consultant to US dairy farms.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of the US dairy industry.
- Excellent written/oral communication.
- Dairy environmental sustainability experience/knowledge.
- Demonstrated teamwork.

Additional Information:
- Travel: 50%; Location: Field based, Upper Midwest US (preferably WI).
