What You Will Achieve
- Keep MCT labs organized, operational, and ready to support research by maintaining equipment, managing supplies/inventory, coordinating service/calibration, and supporting lab projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Strengthen lab readiness by partnering with scientists, vendors, LIS, and Lab Support peers to resolve issues, support equipment moves/installs, and drive continuous improvement.
How You Will Achieve It (Responsibilities)
- Contribute to team deliverables; coordinate with others.
- Order and maintain reagents/buffers/media per protocols.
- Assist with setup, calibration, and maintenance of instruments/equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels; maintain supplies.
- Support sample processing, labeling, and storage (biological material handling per safety guidelines).
- Clean/organize lab spaces for safety and compliance.
- Assist with hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal.
- Document lab activities and maintain required records.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues with researchers; participate in continuous improvement.
- Support additional Process Development labs and Sample Handling as needed.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- HS Diploma or GED + 2+ years relevant experience
- Operational knowledge of computerized systems
- Excellent oral/written communication; strong organization and multitasking
- Lab safety familiarity; teamwork + independence
- Attention to detail
- Lifting up to 30 lbs; frequent standing/walking
Nice-to-Have:
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience maintaining -80/-20 freezers, incubators, biosafety cabinets, manual pipettes
- Basic support knowledge of molecular/cellular lab equipment
- Interest/understanding of common AI tools
Schedule/Work Location
- On call / OT; on-premise.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- $24.22–$40.36/hour; overtime/weekend/holiday premiums; 401(k) matching/extra contribution, paid vacation/holidays, caregiver/parental & medical leave, and health benefits (medical/dental/vision).
