Role Summary
Takeda Co-op Program: Biotherapeutics Process Development Co-op – Downstream Purification (January -June)
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute purification and conjugation experiments
- Keep complete records of experimental design, results, and conclusions with an electronic notebook
- Share key results & findings through oral presentations and written reports
- Complete other lab activities as needed
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. Degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is required
- Previous experience with purification setup, such as chromatography systems (AKTA), TFF, or high-throughput system/robotics in a laboratory setting is preferred
- General knowledge of protein engineering, bioprocessing and bioconjugation is a plus

- Currently enrolled in degree program graduating December 2026 or later
Additional Requirements
- Fully onsite (4+ days/week in office) at Takeda Lexington
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week during co-op dates
- Takeda does not provide housing stipend or relocation support
