Role Summary

Takeda Co-op Program: Biotherapeutics Process Development Co-op – Downstream Purification (January -June)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute purification and conjugation experiments
  • Keep complete records of experimental design, results, and conclusions with an electronic notebook
  • Share key results & findings through oral presentations and written reports
  • Complete other lab activities as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. Degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting is required
  • Previous experience with purification setup, such as chromatography systems (AKTA), TFF, or high-throughput system/robotics in a laboratory setting is preferred
  • General knowledge of protein engineering, bioprocessing and bioconjugation is a plus

  • Currently enrolled in degree program graduating December 2026 or later

Additional Requirements

  • Fully onsite (4+ days/week in office) at Takeda Lexington
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during co-op dates
  • Takeda does not provide housing stipend or relocation support
