Systems Engineer

Role: Systems Engineer supporting Moderna's global biopharma infrastructure, focusing on compute, storage, virtualization, automation, and cloud integration. Responsibilities: manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Red Hat, Nutanix), enterprise storage (NetApp, Pure Storage), and container platforms (OpenShift); automate system updates via Ansible and scripting; support hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP); monitor infrastructure health; respond to incident escalation; collaborate with engineering teams. Qualifications: 4–6 years in systems engineering with expertise in virtualization, Linux, storage, and automation tools; proficiency with cloud platforms and scripting languages; strong troubleshooting skills. Preferred: experience in regulated GxP environments, storage architectures, and certifications in virtualization, storage, or cloud. High-Value: focus on enterprise infrastructure supporting biopharma R&D and manufacturing, with emphasis on high availability, security, and compliance within a hybrid cloud setting. Collaboration with global IT teams, on-site support, and participation in an on-call rotation are involved. Work setup: in-office with a 70/30 hybrid model; some travel may be required. The salary range is $109,200–$174,600, commensurate with experience.
