Manager, Supply Chain (SCM), External Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
- Single-point operational owner for assigned external manufacturing relationships (CMOs); ensure compliant, reliable, cost-effective manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
- Accountable for supply delivery vs. agreed demand, schedules, and business priorities; lead performance monitoring, issue escalation, and resolution.
- Identify/resolve manufacturing issues with Technical Operations, Quality, and Procurement; support launch readiness and lifecycle management at external sites.
- Proactively assess/mitigate risks (partner issues, logistics delays, market changes); recommend strategic actions (capacity changes, remediation plans, site transfers) and escalate critical compliance/supply/financial risks.
- Lead/ support capacity planning, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning for CMOs.
- Maintain relationships with CMO supply chain counterparts; serve as backup SCM during absences.
- Own CMO supply chain metrics and action plans; review significant forecast changes and submit rolling forecasts and monthly purchase orders to CMOs.
Leadership/Other:
- No direct people management required; provide strong matrix leadership. Dotted-line oversight for Latin America Supply Planning (Mexico, Colombia).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 6+ years supply chain management; ERP and S&OP understanding; experience managing external manufacturers (preferred).
Skills/Preferred:
- SAP (preferred) and Power BI; strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- APICS/ISM certification (plus). Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, stakeholder management; thrives in fast-paced matrix environment.
Work Location:
- Hybrid (Bridgewater, NJ); onsite Tue/Wed/Thu.
