Supplier Governance Senior Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee performance and quality of Clinical Pharmacology CROs and laboratory suppliers for Amgen-sponsored clinical trials.
- Facilitate supplier governance meetings/operating reviews; monitor KPIs and manage issues.
- Support evaluation, selection, and startup of suppliers.
- Align supplier strategy/capabilities with business needs and priorities.
- Build relationships with study teams, functional leads, procurement, quality, compliance, and suppliers.
- Lead proactive supplier risk management at portfolio and study level.
- Identify and coordinate process improvements with suppliers/stakeholders while ensuring compliance.
- Standardize/align clinical trial execution across programs and portfolio.
- Support assessment/implementation of technologies and innovations.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives; mentor/train direct reports and manage performance.
Qualifications:
- Basic: Doctorate + 2 years clinical experience; or Master’s + 4; or Bachelor’s + 6; or Associate’s + 10; or HS/GED + 12.
- Preferred: BS/BA/BSc in sciences or RN; 9 years life sciences/medically related experience including 6 years biopharmaceutical clinical research on trials (biotech/pharma/CRO); Clinical Pharmacology; lab experience; supplier oversight; risk management; lead direct reports; global matrix experience; GCP and FDA/international regulatory knowledge; clinical trials execution and project management; issue management; write/present to senior management; communicate with diverse audiences; interpersonal/organizational/supervisory skills.
