The Position:
Supervises a utilities maintenance team and ensures safe, effective operations with a high focus on quality. Coordinates with internal stakeholders, contractors, engineers, and vendors to support the manufacturing process.
Essential Functions:
- Manage team: interviewing/hiring, coaching/mentoring, career development, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Prioritize maintenance and ensure preventive maintenance of mechanical and control components to minimize impact to production
- Serve as primary interface between Utilities Maintenance Operations and Utilities Operations
- Develop training program for Utility Maintenance Systems and ensure mandatory training completion
- Develop/maintain SOPs and ensure documentation meets GMP requirements
- Oversee/support process equipment validation (upgrades and new projects)
- Drive preventive maintenance execution process improvements
- Facilitate a productive, engaging, safe working environment
- Follow SOPs, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years utilities experience in a manufacturing organization (required); pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred
- 2+ years direct supervisory experience (preferred)
- Ability to read/write complex product documentation and SOPs with attention to detail
- Computer skills including basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Utilities equipment maintenance experience (Electrical up to Medium Voltage, Steam Generation, Compressed Air, Refrigeration, High Purity Water, HVAC, etc.) (required)
