Role Summary
The Supervisor of Tank Farm, Truck & Rail Operations is directly responsible for managing the operations for their respective area and shift. The Supervisor will oversee tank farm operations, air emissions systems, and truck/rail loading and unloading, serving as the on-shift management representative. The role supervises operators performing direct execution of operations (per SOPs and operational execution instructions) to safely and compliantly support the manufacturing of high-quality medicine, provides leadership, ensures appropriate staffing, and maintains equipment and processes in a compliant, validated state for their area and shift. During startup and project delivery phases, leadership will be collaborative and dynamic to support rapid building of the organization and GMP operations.
Responsibilities
- Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture; maintain a safe working environment and conduct operations to protect safety, environment, and quality.
- Ensure operations comply with all regulatory requirements at all times.
- Ensure tank farm, truck, and rail loading/unloading areas support the production plan for the site.
- Maintain consistency of operations on designated shift through active engagement on the floor.
- Ensure audit action items assigned to operations are completed in a timely manner.
- Enter Trackwise/Veeva events, participate in and lead CAPA investigations.
- Set objectives and development plans for operators; address employee relations issues on shift and escalate when necessary.
- Manage events, ensuring appropriate communication within the team and with external teams; provide input to investigations.
- Build and develop a team with clear common purpose and strong team spirit.
- Ensure operators are appropriately trained and that operating procedures and training materials are current.
- Communicate site objectives and team priorities to operators.
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet business objectives, managing overtime as necessary.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship expected)
- Required: Completion of Post Offer Exam or Work Simulation if applicable
- Required: Demonstrated leadership experience
- Required: Minimum 5 years of previous experience in chemical/manufacturing operations
- Preferred: Bachelorโs or Associate's Degree in science, engineering, or a technical field
- Preferred: Previous experience in facility/area start-up environments
- Preferred: Previous experience in tank farm or truck and rail loading/unloading

Additional Requirements
