The Supervisor, Security Systems will be responsible for enterprise-wide security systems including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection and other programs required for the protection of AbbVie resources and assets. Provide strategic guidance and tactical support for new installations, upgrades, and problem resolution for AbbVie sites globally. Requires strong collaboration and influence with other AbbVie functions and outside service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for planning, development, and deployment of security systems for AbbVie locations globally; develop physical security plans (access control, surveillance, alarms) and configure applications to meet site requirements.
- Partner with BTS on infrastructure and/or application changes requiring system life cycle management.
- Develop and communicate long-range enterprise security system deployment plans.
- Provide technical expertise for project scoping/planning, requirements gathering, and technical support; responsibility for project budgets.
- Evaluate and benchmark security posture and recommend solutions for identified gaps; be forward looking on technologies and competencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships and performance standards for third-party integrators and contractors.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and training related to security systems (including badging); ensure regulatory compliance (CDC and DEA) is maintained within access control systems.
- Lead and develop the security systems team (access control, technical support, system upgrades, and security initiatives).
- Manage global access control installations and conversions, including direction of 3rd-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and/or pursue appropriate system certifications for self and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in a relevant field; 7β8 years of security systems experience (or related), with progressive leadership, including people or large/complex project management leadership.
- Security systems implementation/deployment, security integration, and project management ability; ability to lead and develop a security system team.
- Genetec Certification.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
