Strategic Communications, Corporate Affairs Director – R&D & AI&D
Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated communications strategies advancing R&D and AI&D business priorities and enterprise initiatives.
- Oversee integrated communications campaigns and content across internal/external channels.
- Shape and evolve strategic narratives by translating complex scientific/technical/business concepts into compelling stories.
- Lead communications strategies supporting organizational transformation, AI adoption, and new ways of working.
- Establish communications planning, governance, and measurement frameworks.
- Develop communications dashboards, performance reporting, and analytics to demonstrate impact and inform strategy.
- Identify opportunities to simplify communications and reduce duplication.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team; provide strategic direction, coaching, and career development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree + 4 years communications or public relations experience; OR
- Master’s degree + 7 years; OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 9 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Communications/PR/Journalism or related field.
- Experience leading strategic communications in biotech/pharma/healthcare/technology.
- Success advancing business priorities and organizational transformation.
- Strong understanding of scientific research, drug discovery/development, AI, or digital transformation.
- Exceptional executive writing/storytelling; influence without authority.
- Analytics/measurement experience to improve effectiveness and demonstrate business impact.
