Role Summary

Strategic Account Manager - Vaccines (Remote) for US Remote/Field - Washington DC/Baltimore MD. The role leads strategic account management for Sanofi’s largest and most complex vaccine customers, building strategic account plans and coordinating resources to drive value creation and meet revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Assume the leadership role within assigned accounts, providing overall account leadership to cross-functional internal and external team members as needed. Manage each assigned strategic customer as a business partnership on behalf of Sanofi, building strategic account plans and deploying resources to drive value co-creation and meet/exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage trust-based relationships with external stakeholders to generate revenue through genuine partnerships within Sanofi’s largest and most complex customers. Understand the customer’s business, pressures, drivers, priorities, challenges, and opportunities, and maintain knowledge of their business model, goals, environment, competitors, and financial levers.
  • Identify and qualify high-value opportunities within accounts by collaborating with the customer to develop growth strategies, align teams, and cultivate executive relationships with internal cross-functional teams. Conduct business coaching and strategy sessions to facilitate value co-creation and ensure ongoing internal alignment and account growth. Serve as the central point of communications for account planning, strategy, collaboration, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of field sales or account management experience
  • Broad understanding of health system business, decision-making processes, and market trends with a record of engaging C-suite to D-suite decision makers
  • Ability to translate health system market knowledge into strategic plans with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and manage multiple projects
  • Experience with P&T committees, decision makers, and influencers in Hospitals, Health Systems, IHNs and large-organized customers
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of strong execution and planning
  • Adaptable to a shifting environment with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle
  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree
  • Preferred: Strong data analytics
  • Preferred: Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting, or Finance
  • Preferred: Proficiency with MS Office and customer management databases
